Bald Britney!

There’s lots of talk of the “new look” Britney Spears. I’m sure many of you heard of the popstar’s latest media bomb at the hairdresser in L.A. Now that it has been confirmed as truth, it leaves me wondering. Who really care’s? Well obviosly plenty of people do. Even this article and the fact that you are reading it proves we care. But why? People are saying this is likely to be a result of a nervous breakdown. Why (although possible) do people think this? Did Sinead O’conner have a similar breakdown? It just goes to show that although something like a Tatoo has become more accepted into the mainstream there are still clearly taboo’s in society. The lines that are drawn keep changing and soon perhaps we will see a wave of bald female popstars. Well maybe not so soon. Just my 2 cents.

The outrage and comments here about Britneys shaved head are an example of the gendered and intollerant society in which we live. To be a ‘girl’ you need to conform to a look that has long hair etc. and if you don’t then you are a freak. personally I think Brit looks kinda hot without hair.
